Tag Your Listings & Find More Buyers

The Flippa marketplace is big. There are four hundred new listings a week and we know it’s hard to scan through those to find something you’re interested in – or, as a seller, to get your listing seen by the right people.

We’re taking a big step towards linking up the right buyers with the right sellers with the addition of listing tags.



Verified Google Analytics Attachments

Yes, they are here! Auction holders can now add verified statistics from Google Analytics to their auction. Auction holders who have done so have seen increased interest, and more bidding activity on their listings.

To add verified stats to your listing, simply click on “Add Analytics Stats” in the right hand panel of your auction listing.


No Sale? No Success Fee!

There’s a new formalized dispute procedure when things go wrong.

At the end of the process, if you didn’t get paid, neither do we. Your success fee is waived and you receive a free relisting of your auction.

You asked for them, and we delivered. We’ve tapped into the Compete.com API to bring you even more data and information about the websites that you’re bidding on, so you can make an informed decision.


Sort by the Activity Column

When we launched, it wasn't easy to work out which listings had all the bidding. Well, we've changed that - check out the Most Active preset search. This makes it really easy to see which listings have all the action!


Minimum Bid Increments

We’ve heard over and over again that the lack of minimum bid increments was causing frustration so we’ve implemented minimum bid increments. It’s a complicated formula, but basically, if your listing is over $100 the minimum increase is $10, if it’s over $1000 then $100, and so forth. This will be good for both buyers and sellers. Sellers don’t have to deal with tiny bids which don’t actually get them anything, and buyers don’t have to worry about being outbid by $1 right near the end of the auction.


Reduce Listing Duration

Started off with a 30-day auction but want to wrap things up quicker? We now allow auction holders to reduce the duration of their listing all the way down to 1 day.

However, you still can’t extend your listing while it’s in progress. We’ve left this feature out on purpose because it was being abused. We take the view that sellers shouldn’t be allowed to pretend an auction is ending in two days, then constantly extend by two days until it runs for a full thirty days. Buyers have the right to know under what conditions they’re bidding.

More Preset Filters

We’ve updated the Advanced Search area to include more preset filters, which give you some idea of the power that this feature has. We took these from the most common items in individual custom filters lists, so we think many people will find them useful.


The Front Page Upgrade Can Be Reapplied

A lot of people asked for this! It’s now possible to re-purchase the “Featured Front Page” upgrade at any time during your listing. This means that your listing will shoot back to the top of the list on the front page.


New Upgrade – Listing Border

We’ve added a new upgrade! You can now choose to give your listing a border on the listings page. This gives you another way to make your listing stand out from the pack. A bargain at only $8!


Added Pending Bids and Pending Offers Sections to Your Account

The My Account page should be the one-stop shop for managing your Flippa time. It now shows clearly your Pending Bids and Pending Offers, as well as your PMs and any Invoices you have open. Of course, you will have received an email about these thing as well. But now, upon logging in, you can quickly and easily see what you need to do straight away.
